I can't say enough good about Bob Wells and his staff. They are very knowledgeable, honest, professional, down to earth, and work hard at resolving the issue / work at hand. The turn around time in getting anything I've had done has been incredible, not to mention Total Car Care does have THE most reasonable prices around! On several occasions Bob has gone far above and beyond the call of duty for me, coming to my residence to get my car started, and then following me back to his shop. On top of that, offering and taking the time out to give me a ride back home, and even making a pit stop to my office on the way knowing that I had forgotten my cell phone when I left for the day. Bib is a super busy man, so for him to take the extra time out speaks volumes for his character which reflects in his customer service and his work! I HIGHLY recommend Total Car Care!
I continued to live with this squeak until I brought my vehicle to another garage, who told me that the belt tensioner, as well as the parts surrounding it, were either defective or extremely loose. I was also told that the initial repair was SIGNIFICANTLY less than what I should have paid for the repair, which leads me to believe that something was circumvented in order to get my vehicle out the door.
A 5 Star Rating for 5 Star Service! And if I could give Total Car Care more than 5 Stars I would!
Saved my butt! My serpentine belt went on my way through town at 4:30 on a Friday. Called 20 minutes before they closed and explained my situation. They told me to come in, diagnosed the problem and got the parts in the next morning.
This review is a little late, but now that the issue is truly resolved, I feel that I should share. I came here during the summer months due to a persistent squeak coming from the serpentine belt area of my vehicle. I saw a number of positive reviews about this garage and felt comfortable bringing my vehicle in. I was assured that it was a belt & belt tensioner issue, and the estimate I was given was very reasonable.
I can't say how much I appreciate the help I got here, highly recommend.
Following the initial repair, however, the squeak still persisted. Now, I was told that the belt needed to "work itself in" and that the squeak would subside. Obviously I needed my vehicle as soon as possible, but I didn't believe a word of it; the vehicle should have never left the shop as the problem was not resolved.
Thankfully, I was lucky enough to be covered under warranty (I would have had to pay ~$750) and finally got the repair I needed. I'm not sure if someone was just careless, or if they were in a rush. Regardless, I will not be visiting this shop again.
